IS-Match: Partial Shape Matching by Efficiently Solving an Order Preserving Assignment Problem
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper introduces a novel efficient partial shape matching method named IS-Match. We use sampled points from the silhouette as a shape representation. The sampled points can be ordered which in turn allows to formulate the matching step as an order-preserving assignment problem. We propose an angle descriptor between shape chords combining the advantages of global and local shape description. An efficient integral image based implementation of the matching step is introduced which allows detecting partial matches an order of magnitude faster than comparable methods. We further show how the proposed algorithm is used to calculate a global optimal Pareto frontier to define a partial similarity measure between shapes. Shape retrieval experiments on standard shape datasets like MPEG-7 prove that state-of-the-art results are achieved at reduced computational costs.

متن کاملOn the inverse maximum perfect matching problem under the bottleneck-type Hamming distance
Given an undirected network G(V,A,c) and a perfect matching M of G, the inverse maximum perfect matching problem consists of modifying minimally the elements of c so that M becomes a maximum perfect matching with respect to the modified vector. In this article, we consider the inverse problem when the modifications are measured by the weighted bottleneck-type Hamming distance. We propose an alg...
متن کاملRelaxations for Minimizing Metric Distortion and Elastic Energies for 3D Shape Matching
We present two methods for non-rigid shape matching. Both methods formulate shape matching as an energy minimization problem, where the energy measures distortion of the metric defined on the shapes in one case, or directly describes the physical deformation relating the two shapes in the other case. The first method considers a parametrized relaxation of the widely adopted quadratic assignment...
متن کاملTopology Preserving Graph Matching
We describe an algorithm for graph matching which preserves global topological structure using an homology preserving graph matching. We show that for simplicial homology, graph matching is equivalent to finding an optimal simplicial chain map, which can be posed as a linear program satisfying boundary commutativity, simplex face intersection and assignment constraints. The homology preserving ...
متن کاملPartial Eigenvalue Assignment in Discrete-time Descriptor Systems via Derivative State Feedback
A method for solving the descriptor discrete-time linear system is focused. For easily, it is converted to a standard discrete-time linear system by the definition of a derivative state feedback. Then partial eigenvalue assignment is used for obtaining state feedback and solving the standard system. In partial eigenvalue assignment, just a part of the open loop spectrum of the standard linear s...
